12月15日16：15，圣诞联欢会在西京学院行政楼举行。学院领导、人文科学系和国际交流中心负责人、在校外国教师以及学生代表共计30余人参加。执行院长任芳博士与会，向外教赠送圣诞礼品并做了精彩的英语演讲。
任芳执行院长首先肯定了举办联欢会这种外教与师生共同欢乐的形式，她说，今后我们每年都要举行这样的活动，邀请外教参加。外教对此反响热烈。任芳还高度赞扬了3位外教在我校的工作表现，对新来我院工作的菲律宾外教露西尔表示热烈欢迎。当得知露西尔将独自一人在校度过即将来临的中国传统的春节时，她还特意嘱咐国际交流中心负责人在春节期间安排露西尔到我们中方人员家里过年。
联欢会上，3名外教分别表演了精彩的节目，人文科学系06级商务英语班的同学们演唱了英文歌曲，表演了热情洋溢的舞蹈表演，把联欢会气氛推向高潮。联欢会充分体现了我院中外师生良好的精神风貌和和谐的校园文化气氛，整个活动持续了两个小时，在一阵阵欢笑声中圆满结束。
Xijing Teachers and Students Celebrated Christmas
The Christmas party was held in the Administration Building at 4:15 pm on December 15, 2008. Our University leaders, including the dean of School of Human Sciences and the director of International Exchange Center, school teachers and students, all together 30 of them attended the party. Dr. Ren Fang, the executive president of Xijing University, delivered a wonderful English speech and gave her greetings and Christmas gifts to the foreign teachers.
Ms. Ren Fang highly affirmed the first such get-together organized by instructors and students. According to her speech, in the future, we will hold this kind of celebration every year and all foreign teachers will be invited to actively participate in it. Foreign teachers are enthusiastic on it. Ms. Ren Fang also spoke highly of the three foreign teachers in their teaching performance; she extended a warm welcome to Lucille from the Philippines. When she learned that Lucille will live alone in this coming Spring Festival, she specifically asked the office clerks from International Exchange Center to arrange Ms. Lucille as a guest to have a Chinese New Year in one of our Chinese teachers' home.
Three foreign teachers gave a wonderful performance in this Christmas Party. The third year students major in Business English from School of Human Sciences sang very nice English songs, and danced very well, this pushed the party atmosphere to a climax. This celebration fully reflects the optimistic and progressive spirit of both Chinese and foreign teachers and all students on our campus. It also expresses a good mental outlook and harmonious atmosphere in the campus culture. The whole activity lasted for two hours in waves of laughter to a successful conclusion.
